Više od 10.000 ljudi evakuirano na jugozapadu Francuske

Više od 10.000 ljudi evakuirano je tijekom noći na jugozapadu Francuske nakon što je brzošireći požar zahvatio 2000 hektara zemlje zapadno od grada Bordeauxa, rekli su lokalni dužnosnici u četvrtak.

Podaci pokazuju da su šumski požari u Europi ove godine već spalili više zemlje nego što je godišnji prosjek u posljednja dva desetljeća.

Kontinent koji se zagrijava najbrže na svijetu ove godine je pretrpio tri  praktički uzastopna toplinska vala.

Pet stotina vatrogasaca pokušava obuzdati veliki požar, priopćila je prefektura. Zasad nitko nije ozlijeđen.

Šumski požar izbio je u blizini područja zaljeva Arcachon, turističkog središta, a mnogi od evakuiranih su turisti koji borave u kampovima.
