Britanski ministar Steve Reed: Nema dokaza o tvrdnjama da bi Iran raketama ciljao Europu

Britanski ministar Steve Reed u nedjelju je rekao da ne postoji procjena kojom bi se potkrijepile tvrdnje o tomu da Iran planira napasti Europu balističkim raketama ili da uopće ima kapacitete za takvo nešto.

U subotu su Izraelske obrambene snage na društvenim mrežama objavile da Iran ima rakete "koje mogu dosegnuti London, Pariz ili Berlin".

"Ne postoji procjena koja bi potkrijepila ono što se govori", rekao je BBC-ju britanski ministar stanovanja Reed. "Nemam informacija ni o kakvoj procjeni da oni uopće pokušavaju ciljati prema Europi, a kamoli da bi to mogli kad bi i pokušali."

U zasebnom intervjuu za Sky News Reed je rekao da je američki predsjednik Trump govorio u svoje ime kad je zaprijetio da će "uništavati" iranske elektrane ne otvori li Teheran u potpunosti Hormuški tjesnac u roku od 48 sati.

Na pitanje da definira stajalište Velike Britanije o Trumpovu roku, Reed je odgovorio: "Američki predsjednik sasvim je sposoban govoriti u svoje ime i stati u obranu onoga ono što izjavljuje."

"Nećemo biti uvučeni u rat, ali ćemo zaštititi vlastite interese u regiji. Surađivat ćemo sa svojim saveznicima da bismo smanjili intenzitet ovakve situacije."
